Karupatti Coffee
I came to know about this recipe when I visited kodaikanal last time. Since its always cold there I saw people drinking something hot like coffee in their hands and they had this in majority of shop in a big can. The color was dark brown so I was not sure if it had milk in it,so I asked one of them and they told its just palm sugar and coffee powder that they heat up for nearly 10 mins and drink it to keep them warm and feel more energetic at work. My mom instantly made it at my home and we all loved it. Like I said it was very good for cold weather and did keep me very energetic. I have heard of this coffee, but never tried it. Did you get karupatti here in US. need to check. Can we make it using filter coffee too?
I got it when I went to India. yes they actually use only filter coffee powder only instead of the regular instant coffee that brings out the perfect blend and flavor.
