Mixed Sundal(Five Variety)
This sundal has been sitting in my database for quite a long time , so I thought before I completely forget about it let me start posting it. When I usually get bored with regular type sundal this comes as a good change,it has all kinds of flavor and they taste so good.
Ingredients
- Channa/ Konda kadala - 4 tsp
- Mochai/Limo beans - 4 tsp
- Groundnut/Peanut - 4 tsp
- Channa dal/kadala paruppu - 4 tsp
- Raw Mango,chop to small pieces - 1/4 cup
- For Seasoning:
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal(ulandham paruppu) - 1 tsp
- Dry red chillies,broken - 2
- Curry leaves - 2 tsp
- Asofaetida(hing) - a pinch
- To blend:
- Coconut,grated - 3 tsp
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Green chillies - 3
- Dry red chillies - 2
Instructions
1. Soak all the dals except groundnut for 3 hrs. Soak peanut for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. Then cook them in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle or 2 and remove it. Then do the seasoning given above and add the dal and saute for a min. Then in blender grind the given items and add it to the dal and remove from fire. Add the raw mangoes before serving. Enjoy the yummy tangy sundal. This is made during last day of Navaratri festival.
