Mint & Coriander Thovayal
Mint is very good for health.It helps in eliminating toxins from our body.I used to have travel sickness when I was a kid and added this mint regularly to my food, changed my sickness completely.Coriander and mint are best combination when it comes to chutney like this.The flavour is so blissful.I love it with dosa .The whole house will smell minty.Its yum yum.

Ingredients
- Coriander leaves,chopped - 1 cup
- Fresh mint leaves - 1 cup
- Green chillies - 4
- Dry red chillies - 5-6
- Tamarind piece - little bit
- Ginger piece - 1 tsp
- Grated coconut - 1 cup
- Urad dal(ulandham paruppu) - 2 tsp
- Asofaetida(hing) - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
Instructions
1.Fry coriander leaves,mint leaves,green chillies,red chillies,ginger in a kadai one by one separately.Then fry grated coconut till they turn mild brown in colour.let them cool off.
2.In a blender grind tamarind,salt and hing together along with the above mix and make it to fine paste without adding any water.Thovayal should be thick.
3.Then fry urad dal well in a pan adding little oil then add it to the chutney mix and grind for one more mins.This way the flavour of urad dal with coarse form taste much better.
4.This goes well with dosa,idly and all some add this to curd rice too.
