Ragi Porridge(For weight loss)
Ragi is so good for health but very few people use these days in our kitchen. I would say drinking it every day in the morning is very good for us. It keeps our tummy fully and keeps us away from unwanted junk food, Its gluten free and its very good for kids. My mom used to give it to me when I was kid..I still feel I have a strong body because of that. If you don't have time to drink it everyday at-least keep it a habit of drinking it at-least once in a week. You will see big difference in your health. Even diabetic people can have this. For pregnancy women its like a boon helps in baby growth and also helps with lactation issue.
- Prep Time : 5 minutes
- Cook Time : 10 minutes
- Yield : 2-3 glass
Ingredients
- Ragi Flour - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cup
- Buttermilk - 1 cup
- Salt - as per taste
- Small onion,finely chopped - 2 tsp
- Green chillies,thin slit - 1
- Curry leaves - as per taste
Instructions
1. Take ragi flour in a bowl ,then mix it with 1 cup regular water so that no lumps are formed. Keep it separate.
2. Now heat one cup water and add the ragi mix to this,keep stirring till it turns thick. See the pic for the consistency. I don't like it too thick ..so I stop at this stage. Now remove from fire and let it cool.
3. Blend curd to buttermilk and add to this and mix it well(very important no lumps should be there)
4. Now add onion,green chillies and curry leaves. Mix it well. Try to use small onion because they taste so good and its very good for health.
5. This ragi kanji helps in weight reduction,makes your bone strong,perfect for kids and wonderful boon to pregnant women and best recipe for lactation mom. It does so much wonder to our body and keeps our body temperature cool.
