Beans Paruppu Usili
This beans usili is made mostly in thirunelveli side.The taste is very subtle yet crunchy.The mix of dal gives a very flavorful taste.It pairs well with sambar or vatha kulambhu.My mom makes it very often and my whole family likes this dish a lot.

Ingredients
- Beans,finely chopped - 1 cup
- Onion,finely chopped - 1
- Channa dal/kadala paruppu - 1/4 cup
- Dry red chillies - 5-6
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- salt to taste
- For Seasoning
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal(ulandham paruppu) - 1/2 tsp
- Cuury leaves - as per taste
- Asofaetida(hing) - a pinch
Instructions
1.Chop the beans in to fine pieces.Boil them in a microwave or in a pan for 5 min.Let it get tender and soft.
2.Now soak channa dal in water for an hour.
3.In a blender grind channa dal,red chillies,jeera,salt together.Don't grind them in to paste blend the dal 80%.
4.Now steam them for 5 min.I used idly pan for steaming.You can leave it without steaming too but it cooks much faster when steamed for 5-10 mins.
5.In a pan pour some oil add mustard,urad dal,curry leaves,onion and saute for few mins.Then add beans and fry them for few mins.
6.Now add the mashed channa dal to this beans and fry them for 10 min,add little oil if required.Then remove from fire and keep it closed with lid.Serve it with lunch and enjoy.
