This soup kozhumbhu is everyone's favorite,We all love it at my house.They taste very good with rice or can be consumed in a glass as regular soup too.But we have to make it little more dilute if we are planning to drink.Like I said try this with rice and let me know they were .I can guarantee that you will fall in love with it instantly.Surprise your family with this lovely soup for lunch.I love to accompany this dish with this three colored variety vegetable curry.They are the best.

1.Take a cooker and do the seasoning mentioned above fry them well, seasoning is very important because this is the one that brings the flavor to the soup.

2.Then add the chopped onions,tomatoes,green chillies and saute them well.

3.Now take moong dal/pasiparuppu in a cup and wash them well then add them to the cooker with 4 cups of water.I boiled the drumsticks separately for 5-7 min and kept them separate.I used 10 pieces so I added 5 piece to this cooker so that the whole soup gets the extract of drumstick and the smell is so good.

4.Now to this add the crushed pepper little bit then add turmeric powder and close the lid and let it cook for 7-8 mins.I don't get whistle in my cooker so if you get whistle leave it for 5 whistles.Now remove the lid and check if the dal is cooked well.Now add salt to it.

5.The taste of the soup depends on ripe flavor of tomatoes so if its not very ripe add lemon juice to it and stir it well.To this add the freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice.I made Tricolor vegetable curry to go with this and their combination is so yummy.
