Garlic Pull Apart Bread

By March 15, 2013

I love this garlic pull apart bread ,they are so soft and filled with heavenly ingredients like garlic, chilly flakes,Italian seasoning and cheese. Its not very time consuming to make but kneading needs little work but I would say its worth the time. I love to enjoy this with a good Marinara sauce,a combo made in heaven. I came across this recipe in many books and sites but main inspiration was from USMASALA . When you bake it ,Whole house will be filled with this garlic aroma and it will def make you hungry and irresistible.

It can be made for evening snack too. Kids will def love it and its good for parties too. Since they get peeled like garlic while you pull the bread its not messy too. Its super neat. Enjoy this little piece of heaven pieces with a good marinara sauce and let me know how you enjoyed baking it.

  • Prep Time : 15 minutes
  • Cook Time : 1 hr 30 minutes
  • Yield : 2 person

Ingredients

Instructions

1. This is the yeast I used to make this bread works good all the time.

2. Sieve the flour well and then in a small glass add warm warm it shouldn't be too hot. To this add salt, sugar and yeast and mix it well. Leave it for 15-20 min. Let it bubble. Then mix it well with flour. Add little water if required and knead the dough well for 10 mins.

3. It shouldn't be sticky it should be like elastic, soft and non sticky. The bread will come out soft and fluffy only when it is kneaded well. Now shift it to a bowl that is greased with butter/oil and cover it with plastic wrap for 1 hr. It will double in size then punch them well to remove the air.

4. Now make small balls out of them.

5. In a cup melt butter to room temp and to this mix garlic powder/garlic pieces,Italian seasoning, red chilly flakes.

6. Now dip each of the small dough balls. Now take a big bowl grease them with non-sticky oil or butter and place the balls next to each other and arrange them as shown in pic. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese when one layer is complete and arrange the next set of balls on top of it,next to each other.Again completely sprinkle the cheese and repeat the process. Don't over fill the bowl. When you reach half way stop filling. You can use bigger bowl to make big batches of this garlic pull apart bread.

7. Now close it with a cling wrap for 20 mins. The dough will raise little bit. Now bake them at 350 def F for 35-40 mins and take them out of the oven and let it cool for 15 mins.

7. Serve it with marinara sauce and enjoy the bread. It yumm during rainy days.
