Pea Pesto Crostini-Italian Snack
I love Giada at home show that comes in Food Network Channel, she is my fav chef. Her recipes are so simple and very tasty. She loves to experiment with lots of different flavor. I took this book from library long back and I like to try different kinds of appetizers. This one sounded good to me so easy to make and I liked when I tasted it too. So I am linking this to srivalli's event Cook From Cookbook. I took this from Giada at home cookbook.
- Prep Time : 5 minutes
- Cook Time : 5 minutes
- Yield : 4-5
Ingredients
- Peas(Fresh or Frozen) - 1 cup
- Garlic - 1 or 2
- Parmesan Cheese - 1/4 cup
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Olive Oil - 1/4 cup
- Baquette or Ciabatta Bread - 1 full loaf
- Cherry Tomatoes or Regular Tomatoes,chopped - 1/4 cup
Instructions
1. In a blender add peas and garlic crush them well, to this add Parmesan cheese, salt & pepper. Blend it a gain To this now add olive oil and blend one more time. I didnt like it like paste so just blended them 90 % and I loved the texture.
2. Now slice the bread 1/2 inch thick to oval shape. I used baguette bread here. Now in a pan spray some olive oil on both the sides of bread and toss it till they are golden brown in color. Now to this spread the peas dip and slice some tomatoes and place them as garnish.
3. Serve it to your guest they will love it.

Very nice presentation..
Even I use to Giada’s shows a lot. Now a days I don’t watch cooking shows as much as I use to in the past. Anyway, love the presentation and those shell shaped plates.
