Potato Fry
I know everyone loves potatoes its hard to say "NO" to this vegetable I like the red colour potatoes more than our regular yellow one it taste so good it has that mild sweet taste too when u cook them.This potato taste good when cooked without peeling the skin.This is simple version of potato fry will load more variety soon,please excuse me for roasting the onions deep fry I just left the kitchen for a few sec when my kid called and they turned to dark skin didn't burn but they did turn quite dark but they tasted good with potatoes.so ignore the picture and just try this simple beginner recipe.

Ingredients
- Potatoes - 5
- Onion,finely chopped - 1
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- For Seasoning
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Urad dal(ulandham paruppu) - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - as per requirement
Instructions
- Cut the potatoes and slice them thin.Heat the kadai/pan pour some oil add seasoning one by one.
- Saute the onion to mild brown (unlike my picture)then add potatoes saute them for 5 minutes.sprinkle some water and close the lid let it cook for 10 minutes.
- when the potatoes are 3/4 th cooked add turmeric powder,chilly powder,salt.
- Rice flour can be added if you need potatoes to be crispy.
