Andra Paruppu Podi/Kandi Podi
This parupu podi other wise called kandi podi origins from ANDHRA PRADESH.They mix it with hot rice&ghee.Mixture of toor dal and roasted channa dal is a very essential spice to this podi.You will find this podi in all Andra Restaurants.Its there specialty podi.

Ingredients
- Roasted channa dal/pottu kadalai - 1 cup
- Toor dal - 1 cup
- Red chilly powder - 4 tsp
- Jeera - 1 1/2 tsp
- Garlic - 4
- Pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Asofaetida(hing) - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Roast pepper,toor dal for 2 mins separately.Blend them with pottukadalai/roasted channa dal,red chilly powder,hing,salt in to fine powder,then add jeera & garlic blend once in a wiper in mixie it shouldn't be too powdery .Garlic pieces must be available while mixing it with rice.
- Add the podi to hot white rice along with ghee and mix well.
