By May 16, 2012

I know what must have popped in to your head when u saw this title well trust me I had same "eyebrow lift "when my mom first told me about this when I was in school but when I ate, it  was def mesmerizing dish, since then I started to love this recipe and I make it most of the time.We usually use coriander as our garnishing items y not use it as main ingredient?Try this out and let me know your experience...

  • Prep Time : 10 minutes
  • Cook Time : 20 minutes
  • Yield : 2

Instructions

1.Wash coriander leaves at least 3 -4 times well and chop them and put in a blender to that add green chillies, tomato, cashew and half glass of milk and make it in to fine paste.keep aside.

2.Now peel the skin of potato and chop them in to very small pieces.

3.Heat oil in kadai and deep fry the potatoes till they turn mild brown in colour and remove and cool it down.

4.Now heat oil in kadai/pan use 4 tsp oil this needs lot of oil then add jeera roast it for sometime then add the paste to it let it boil for 5 minutes now add the remaining milk ,mix 1/2 glass water if it gets very thick.Let it boil for 10 min keep stirring so they don't get burnt. 5.Now add red chilly powder, garam masala, salt and cook for another 2 minutes, keep stirring if its very thick u can add more water according to your required consistency this dish is usually little thick.

6.Now add the fried potatoes and stir for a minute when the oil starts to ooze out like shown in the above switch it off and serve hot with chapathi/naan/poori.

NOTE:

  • You can substitute panner instead of potato.
  • This dish take little time to get cooked but more it gets cooked more tasty it becomes so let it cook at least for 20 min.
