Falooda(Summer Drink)

By September 6, 2013

I have been participating in few competitions for long and I have been quite regular but 2 months break to India trip kept me away from SNC. Its a group of north and south buddy giving each other their regional recipes and competing with each other. I love it very much. The brain child behind this is divya pramil. This month challenge was given by Minnie and I thoroughly enjoyed doing this. Its been on my to-do list for a very very long time and somehow never made it. I am so happy that I was finally able to do it. Enjoying every sip of it. Also linking this to Srivalli A-Z ALPHABET BLOGGING MARATHON under regional category. This drink popular In Pakistan,Middle East, India, Bangladesh.  Also linking to preeti.

Instructions

1. Take the dry falooda noodles out of the packets and boil them for few mins in a hot boiling water.

2. Then remove them out and wash in cold water so they don't stick together. Keep it separate.

3. Soak this dry basil seeds in 1 cup of water and let it plump it will take an hr or so.

4. I added few pinch of saffron without my knowledge inside this water. So that's why it is pink in color. But its k. Let it soak.

5. mean while I added rose srup to chilled milk and let it sit in fridge for few mins. Add Sugar if required.

6. Soak almonds & pista in hot water for few min and then peel the skin. Chop them fine and keep it separate.

7. Now aligning the falooda is very simple. Take a tall glass first add the boiled noodles to the bottom then add basil seeds. To this add fruits if required(I didn't add cuz I was not in mood for fruits that day)to this add chilled rose milk. Then add noodles and again basil seed and 1 tsp of rose syrup if required.

8. To this add one big scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnish with finely chopped nuts yumm drench yourself in this amazing tasty falooda drink.
