Peas Masala/Mutter Masala

Peas are delicious.In NY they are available in all season.They are tender and fresh and my kid loves this dish a lot.I see her enjoying peas in everything ,so I try to add peas in all my food.This encourages her to eat more veggies.When I think of peas masala "Dhaba" food comes to my mind.They serve such delicious one.I have tried making something close to it.Adding butter more liberally does change the whole flavour and I just love it.Few like to add fresh cream finally but its your choice.Enjoy this mouth watering peas curry.

1.Chop onion,tomatoes,ginger & garlic.In a blender make a fine paste of them do not add water.Make it a thick paste see to that the ginger is completely crushed.

2.In a kadai or pan dry roast jeera,fenugreek for few sec till they change there colour,remove from fire.Let it cool off.Then crush them to powder in a blender.Keep it separate.

3.In a kadai/pan add some butter then add the seasoning item one by one then roast for few sec.Then mix the crushed paste of onion,tomato,ginger & garlic.Let it cook for 10 mins.

4.When the raw smell from ginger garlic goes off add turmeric powder,chilly powder and salt.Let it cook for few more mins until the oil starts to ooze.

5.Now add the peas to the mix and let it cook for 5 more mins.Add little water if necessary.Keep stirring to the consistency required.

6.Then add the powdered jeera & fenugreek to the mix and stir again for few more mins.Remove from fire.
