Coconut Chutney(simple version)
Coconut chutney is a very common chutney made for breakfast.It goes well with dosa,idly all kind of breakfast food. I have served it with Bottle Gourd/ Sorakkai Dosa here. There are many variations in coconut chutney many ingredients can be added & grinned.There are many chutneys like coriander chutney,mint chutney,garlic chutney and many more.so here is the simple version one.Will load more varieties soon.

Ingredients
- Coconut pieces - 1/2 cup
- Green chilly - 5-6
- Garlic - 2
- Tamarind piece - a bit
- Asofaetida(hing) - a pinch
- Salt to taste
- For Seasoning
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal(ulandham paruppu) - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - as per tatse
- Dry red chillies - 2
Instructions
1.In a blender mix coconut pieces,tamarind,asfo,green chillies,garlic & salt.Grind it well to fine paste.
2.Do the given seasoning one by one and add to the chutney and mix it.
3.Serve it with dosa,Idly,vada. Here I have served it with bottle gourd or sorakkai dosa.
Variation – Iyer veettu thenga chutney:
Grind coconut + pottu kadalai to give it better consistency + green chilly.
Once you have a smooth mixture, season with a good amount of (more than other dishes) mustard seeds and some curry leaves.
