Peanut Chaat is one of my fav chaat recipe that can be made in 2 mins if you have readymade roasted peanuts in your pantry. If not it will take extra 5 more mins, since you have to roast it. I tried this first time in Madras Cricket Club (MCC) in chennai when we went to have our dinner. Dad was a member in that club and we always loved going there to our swimming pool and enjoying playing badminton and other sports . After our heavy workout we always use to have our dinner too. This dish was not called as peanut chaat but it was names as ” Cricket club peanut mix” this was the first appetizer that we would order default when we sit in our chair.

This goes well with people who enjoy drinking. This is the best side dish for them. I always make it at home when I have a late night cravings. This will be ready in 5 mins so I always love making it for my movie nights or game day. I always have a roasted box of peanuts to save my time from roasting them. Even if you don’t have it no prob, it will take only few mins to make it. My dad and my brother loves this a lot. So this is like a every week snack for us. I personally love peanus and make many snacks using this. Other snack you can try is Masala peanut , spicy peanut and peanut balls (Verkadalai urundai). Making quick appetizers are always fun. I love anything that involves peanuts. I love the peanut flavor a lot. I have few more recipes coming up in my space soon. Will load more easy appetizers using peanuts soon. Try the above mentioned peanuts recipes and let me know how they turned out. Now off to making of peanut chaat.

Well don't ask me why its called Peanut Club Mix that's how I have always know it as. Dad used to be a member in MCC(Madras Cricket Club) and we used to go there very regularly for dinners, they  have a beautiful tennis court and mainly we go their frequently to use the swimming pool. When we are done with our activities and when we hear our stomach grumbling we hit the restaurant straight away. I love this peanut mix. It goes well with a club drink will load that recipe soon. This can be made during parties or even for a quick snack in the evening. When I have unexpected guest at home I make this one real quick.

  • Prep Time : 2 minutes
  • Cook Time : 5 minutes
  • Yield : 2 person

Instructions

1. Finely chop onions, tomatoes, green chillies and coriander leaves and keep it aside.

2. In a pan, deep fry the peanuts till they turn mild brown in color. Then cool in down in a tissue paper(Use peanuts with skinless)I didn't have skinless so I used the one with skin. Skinless is less work otherwise after frying the peanuts we need to remove the skin. or use the readymade roasted peanuts.

3. Now mix everything together. To this add chaat masala, salt and lemon juice and mix it again and serve it in a plate to your guest. A hot tea/coffee goes well with this snack for evening time.
